Frequently Asked Questions

Baptism is a command from Jesus and an important step of obedience in your faith journey. Jesus Himself was baptized, setting the example for all believers. It's a public declaration that you have died to your old life and have been raised to new life in Christ.

In Matthew 28:19, Jesus commands us: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."

Baptism symbolizes your identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. Going under the water represents dying to your old self and being buried with Christ. Coming up out of the water represents being raised to new life with Him.

Romans 6:4 says, "We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life."

In the New Testament, baptism always follows a personal decision to follow Jesus. It's an outward expression of an inward faith. Infant baptism, while meaningful, doesn't represent a personal choice to follow Christ.

We encourage you to be baptized as a believer to publicly declare your own faith in Jesus and follow His command.

Absolutely! We love celebrating families being baptized together. Each person who has made a personal decision to follow Jesus can participate. It's a powerful testimony to see families united in their faith.

Wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting wet—like shorts and a t-shirt or a modest swimsuit with a t-shirt. Dark colors work best. We provide towels, but you're welcome to bring your own.

Please bring a change of clothes and any personal items you'll need afterward.

We celebrate baptisms regularly throughout the year. Once you sign up, our team will reach out to you with the next available baptism date and all the details you need to know.

While we don't require a formal class, we do want to make sure you understand the significance of baptism and have made a personal decision to follow Jesus. Our pastors are available to meet with you and answer any questions you might have before your baptism.

Yes, please do! Baptism is a celebration, and we encourage you to invite your friends and family to witness this important milestone in your faith journey. It's a wonderful opportunity to share your testimony with those you love.
